Lady Coyotes Rip Lady Wildcats

Potter-Dix's Lady Coyote Girls Basketball team traveled to Harrisburg on Thursday, and had a battle with the Banner County Lady Wildcats. With the score tied 7-to-7 at the end of the first period, the Lady Coyotes went on a tear in the second quarter, ripping off 21 points against Banner County against just seven to take a big 28-to-14 lead into the halftime break. The Potter-Dix girls then held off the Lady Wildcats in the second half to take away a 47-to-25 victory, their fifth win of the year.

The Lady Coyotes did not fare as well in their other two games over the week, traveling to Oshkosh on Friday to match up with the Garden County Lady Eagles and falling behind early and unable to muster enough offense in the second half to make a comeback, falling 48-to-31.

The girls then hosted Perkins County on Saturday and again fell behind early, 20-to-3 at the end of the first period. The Lady Coyotes battled back in the second but could not stop the Lady Plainsmen's offense, and went into the halftime break down 37-to-24. Potter-Dix showed some hope in the third quarter, but still could not stop the Perkins County offense, and fell by a score of 72-to-45. The Lady Coyotes were scheduled to host Creek Valley on Tuesday.
