The Sidney City Council now meeting earlier following the passage of Ordinance 1844 on March 14.

While still meeting on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, the governing body will now meet at 5:30 pm instead of 7 pm. The ordinance, which was passed on first reading with the three readings bypassed, passed unanimously. Mayor Brad Sherman explained the reasoning for the change in time came following conversations with a number of town residents.

The new change in meeting times takes effect immediately, As of the March 28 meeting, all meetings of the Sidney City Council will start at 5:30 p.m.
