Lady Coyotes Third at MAC High School Meet

Boys Finish Fourth

Potter-Dix's Coyote Track and Field teams traveled to Leyton High School on Saturday for the MAC High School Meet, and the girls' squad placed third out eight teams with 58 points, and the boys' squad finished fourth out of seven teams with 95 points. Bayard and South Platte placed first and second in the girls' competition, and Garden County took the top spot for the boys, followed by Bayard and Leyton.

Outstanding individual performances for the Potter-Dix girls included senior Lily Tabor winning the Pole Vault, clearing 8' 6" and placing second in Shot Put with a throw of 32' 5.5". Senior Jayden Shoemaker placed third in High Jump and senior Kallie Crossman placed fifth in the 100 Meters and third in Pole Vault. Two freshman led the Lady Coyotes in the distance runs, with Cayli Spencer placing fourth in the 1600 Meters and Kennedy Knoll placing fourth in the 3200 Meters, while sophomore Taylah Wilson placed second in Pole Vault. The 4X100 Meter Relay team placed third and the 4X400 Meter Relay team placed fourth.

For the boys, senior Luke Kasten placed first in the 100 Meters with a time of 11.60 and placed first in the 200 Meters with a time of 24.82. Kasten also placed second in Discus. Freshman Dylan Tabor had an outstanding day, placing second in the 110 Meter Hurdles, third in Triple Jump, and third in the 300 Meter Hurdles. Senior James Pease placed second in the 1600 Meters and third in the 3200 Meters while junior Brayden Kasten placed third in the 200 meters and sixth in the 400 Meters. Sophomore Dawson Monheiser placed second in Shot Put and seventh in Discus.

The 4X100, 4X400 and 4X800 Meter Relay teams all had third place finishes.

The Coyotes were next scheduled to send their top performers to the Best in the West Classic in Scottsbluff on May 2.
