Chaeli Polk signs her commitment letter with Wayne State for Dance. She is joined by (from Left) Coaches Jen Tillman and Regina Schulz, Sarah Polk, Justin Polk, Grandfather Bill Klingman. Seated with Chaeli are brothers Brexton and Zander and Grandmother Terrie Klingman.

Creek Valley senior Chaeli Polk signed a commitment letter on Wednesday, May 3, to attend Wayne State College and compete on the Dance Team. Polk was joined by family and friends at the signing ceremony at Creek Valley High School.

Polk said she had other offers from schools, but felt that Wayne State was the right fit for her.

"I visited Hastings College and they offered a scholarship, but it didn't feel right for me there. Wayne State felt like home and I knew immediately it was where I wanted to go," Polk said.

Polk wants to major in Human Services and then after graduating, pursue a Masters Degree in Counseling. Her favorite class at Creek Valley was English, and she said that she will miss her coaches, teachers and friends, but is excited to be moving forward to the next chapter of her life.
