The Well Church, Fox Theater, Adams Industries and Cheyenne County Chamber presents the ribbon cutting for Popkorn Express, a new ministry aimed at helping the entire community.
SIDNEY – Despite a healthy wind and the occasional sprinkles, the Well Church, Fox Theater, Adams Industries and Cheyenne County Chamber unveiled the newly created Popkorn Express trailer, a mobile food and entertainment venue for the community.
Fox Theater owner John Phillips told those in attendance, "This has been a dream of Kim and I for a while – we used a coke trailer out of Scottsbluff, then management changed."
Phillips told the story of how he looked at his wife Kim and asked, "why don't we build our own?"
That's when the pair approached Adams Industries about building their concession trailer.
Adams Industries Brian Booe said there wasn't much his company didn't touch in the rebuild, which he says has a subtle "Cars" theme and promotes one of Phillips' favorite bible verses, John 3:16.
Members of the various organizations involved and the general public were in attendance for the ribbon cutting and afterwards everyone was treated to concession goodies.
