Delta Dawn When the Light Comes On: Week Twenty-one

Proverbs 1:23 "Turn at My instruction; surely (never fails) I will pour out My Spirit on you and I will make My works known. 2:10-12; 3:21-23: When wisdom enters your heart and knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion (judging justly, reasoning rightly) will preserve you; understanding will keep you and deliver you."

These Psalms anchored the souls of our Founding Fathers with hope and strong resolve (courage). Was not this "New World" the promised land of Joshua? Did not safe cities exist for justice and brotherly love? Were American people not as salt and light? Should they not shine like a City on a Hill? Matthew 5:13-16

As the Mayflower made her way to America, John Howland, fell overboard. He caught a rope, rode out the storm, married a shipmate and had 10 children who gave us three U.S. Presidents: FDR, George H.W. and George W. Bush. First Lady, Edith Roosevelt (wife of Teddy); Governors: Jeb Bush and Sarah Palin; poets: Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow; Hollywood stars: Humphrey Bogart, Christopher Lloyd, Chevy Chase and the Baldwin brothers.

Circuit riding preachers braved the elements of weather on long and repeated trips into every area of the country. Jesus' Name was heard, louder and louder. The 'Black Robed Regiment" was greatly feared by the British Crown, as people heard "the Anointing destroys the yoke". Colonists believed Jesus was the only just King! Isaiah 10:27; 11:1, 2, This belief, and teaching, contradicted the Monarchy's fable that Bible anointing meant their crowned king was God, Himself.

"Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another. The Lord listened. 'They shall be Mine' says the Lord of Hosts, 'I will make them My jewels, I will spare them, for behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven. But you who revere My name shall trample the wicked as ashes under your feet'." Malachi 3:16-4:3

Voices of Founding Fathers, with Prophetic Voices of the day, called for freedom and prosperity. Blended, they synergized a love for homeland that Britain did not, could not, fathom. Harmony of truth between voices conceived and birthed a nation, crafted a Declaration of Independence by the people, for the people, and quoted the Bible 1500 times drafting the U.S. Constitution. Biblical Citizens, our Founders made America exceptional, shining and invincible through 247 years. Only Massachusetts has an older, Founder written Constitution.

"Thus God, determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His council, confirmed it by two immutable things, [Jesus' Body and Blood]that it is impossible for God to lie. This hope; this Jesus, King and High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, acts as an anchor to our souls, both sure and steadfast ..." Hebrews 6:17-20
