Softball Leagues Back In Action

Now that we're heading into summer, the Cheyenne County Community Center's Co-Ed Adult Softball League is in full swing, with teams full of energetic, if not overly skilled, players packing the softball diamonds and having a great time.

Teams like the Mound Pounders and The Inglorious Batters will be in action on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Softball Fields east of Legion Park.

The Women's and 18u Girls Softball leagues are also in full swing, and these teams that represent Sidney will host teams from Ogallala, Bayard and other towns as well as travel for road games against league opponents.

Although the Co-Ed League is competitive, it is focused on fun and getting together for some exercise and laughs, while the women's and 18u leagues are very competitive. Check the Sun-Telegraph weekly for results as they become available.
