Sidney High School (SHS) freshman Coy Rosenbaum ended the SAF Nebraska State Championship with 5 pounds 14 ounces.

SIDNEY – Sidney High School freshman Coy Rosenbaum participated in the Student Angler Federation (SAF) Nebraska State High School Championship last weekend and took home a prize fish.

On May 20, Rosenbaum reeled in a 5 pound 14 ounce bass during his run at the state championship at Martin Bay on Lake McConaughy in Ogallala, Nebraska; this catch placed Rosenbaum and his team in 15th place overall.

His teammates, Colby Langley and Keith Nienhueser, together caught two fish that qualified them for a weighing.
