Delta Dawn When the Light Comes On: Week Twenty-eight

“Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand all.” Proverbs 28:6, Matthew 13:11. 2 Peter 1:3

Men (and women) are divinely ‘wired’ to cry out for justice. God shows up and gives them an assignment to carry His Plan into practice. The Bible is full of such instances under the First Covenant. First Kings 18 tells of Elijah who took on Ahab’s wicked government singlehandedly. “These Are the Days of Elijah” by Robin Mark may be sung with gusto, but some may miss the impact of Elijah’s purpose.

Jesus said, (I paraphrase) “Use your ears to hear that John the Baptist is the Elijah to come, but you are even greater than both of them.” Matthew 11:11-15. Even as Jesus went to the cross, He knew the wickedness of the world would not, could not, prevail over authority He gave to you and me, His Church. His farewell address to the Disciples relates, “I will not leave you orphaned or comfortless, a Helper will come to lead and guide you into all truth.” John 14-17

This is Christ: The Anointed One, Jesus, and His Anointing, Holy Spirit. As ’born again’ and Holy Spirit filled, we are unstoppable “in Christ Jesus”! That is, Beloved, let us draw a line in the sand that the devil cannot cross. Miracles come when an ‘unction’ from Holy Spirit hits us in people dragged from burning cars, souls rescued from drowning, miraculous financing and nations begotten free.

The first written Constitution is the Magna Carta, 1215. Sixty-three grievances were listed by English barons and presented to King John, who had affronted the Pope, as well as the people, with taxes and intolerable, indecent laws. Humble men, in drafting the Declaration of Independence, 1776, realized how foolish, natural men omitted Jehovah in ruling, throughout history. They understood that to govern ourselves we must employ God’s Word and receive guidance from Holy Spirit.

Friends, in this nation, we have reached a flash point one more time. As we pray we do well; praying in tongues we do better. Singing “God Bless America” we pray twice. What we SAY will not return to us void (Isaiah 55:11) it will come to pass (Mark 11:23), so let us speak victory, success, good, noble, just and a good report (Philippians 4:8). We must resist the devil and occupy territory Jesus took for us (I John 3:8). Dare we sit idle? Truth IS written! Matthew 4, & Luke 4.

Father says of you, “I will give them a heart to know Me, that I AM the Lord and they are My people. I will be their God for they shall return to Me with their whole heart. I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them [My Word and My Ways] and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking, says the Lord.” Jeremiah 24:7. 23:4

Next Week: Be Happy
