Sidney Tops At Rowdy's Round Up Cheer & Dance Competition

It was a fine way to open this year's Cheyenne County Fair on Saturday, with the Sidney Cheer and Dance teams taking first place at the Rowdy's Round Up Cheer & Dance Competition. The Cheer competition featured the squads from Sidney, Gering and Creek Valley giving it their all Saturday afternoon and delighting the big crowd that came out the cheer on the Cheer Squads. The young ladies from Gering were impressive with their lifts, and the Creek Valley girls got the crowd jumping with excitement, but the Sidney girls came out and gave a superior performance for top honors. Sidney's Olivia Ford won the Top Gun Jumping competition over competitors from Scottsbluff, Potter, Gering and Creek Valley. Congratulations to the Sidney team and coach Michelle Weimer for their outstanding performances, and thanks to all the other teams that came out and gave it their all to entertain the crowd.
