Nancy Gordon

Nancy Gordon, 57, of Sidney passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in Sidney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father C.P. Varghese officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Dalton.

Memorials in Nancy's name can be made to "Be Here Sidney" a nonprofit raising suicide awareness in the Sidney area.

Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh and Chappell is serving the Gordon family.

Nancy Ellen (Johnston) Gordon was born May 20, 1966 in Sidney to Frederick and Helen (King) Johnston. She attended school in Sidney, graduating from St. Patrick's High School in 1984.

Nancy was blessed with two boys, Derek and Nate. She was united in marriage to William "Bill" Gordon on November 27, 1991 in Sidney and gained a son, Kyle. Later, Brody was born to the union.

She was proud of her work as a paraeducator at West Elementary and volunteered countless hours to the Rummage House. She enjoyed calligraphy and gardening.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Bill of Sidney, sons, Derek Adams, Nate and his wife, Brenna Adams, of Gurley, Kyle Gordon of Sidney, and Brody Gordon of Sidney; grandchildren, Avery, Auggie, and Atleigh Adams; siblings, Jenifer Wamsley of Sidney, Fred and wife, Cindy Johnston of Bear, Delaware, Mary and husband Mark White of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and Teresa Gill of Virginia; sister-in-law Cheryl and husband, Bob Orosco of Phoenix, Arizona; brother-in-law Tony Grothe and special friends Teri and Blanca.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Janet Johnston, Bill's parents, Maurice and Eleanor Gordon, brother-in-law, Jim Pohl and sister-in-law, Debbie Grothe.
