POTTER- Last Thursday, August 31th, Amanda Waggoner was chosen Miss Potter 2023 by the Potter Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. The local community gathered at Railroad Street to witness a special ocassion for two young ladies. The two candidates were Amanda Waggoner (15), daughter of Melissa and Jerry Gorsuch, and Jaclyn Worth (16), daughter of Leah Pahl and Scott Worth. The girls were respectfully escorted by Caden McConnell and Jaxon Chase.

Miss Waggoner is a junior at Potter-Dix. Her activities have included Volleyball, Basketball, Cheerleading, PD Letter club, Track, One Act Plays, and Speech.

"I'm really excited.This is a big accomplishment to be crowned. I'm really proud of myself right now and I've been dreaming about this my whole life", Waggoner said to Sidney Sun-Telegraph. "My plans for the future are to go to college. I'm thinking of majoring in forensic psychology. I'll have to get my PhD and my license but I'm willing to do it".

The ceremony concluded with a reception for the participants and their families.
