Teresa was born November 7, 1953, in Sidney, NE to Dorothy (Schuler) and Gilmore Wills. She graduated from Sidney High School and spent her whole life in Sidney. Teresa and former spouse, Jonathan Grant had 2 children together, Michael and Cortney.
During her professional career, she followed a few different career paths before finding her true passion. Teresa owned and operated Sidney Floral and Gifts from the early 1990s until she decided to retire and sold her business in 2018. She was a fixture of the Sidney community and made many strong friendships through her business.
Even before retiring, Teresa enjoyed traveling and spending time with her partner, Dennis Deal, kids and grandkids. In retirement, Teresa was able to spend time cheering her grandkids on in their extra-curricular activities. If you sat next to Teresa, she would proudly tell you, "That's my grandkid!" to anyone around if they scored a basket or made a play. Teresa enjoyed hosting family meals, doing cross stitch, playing games, volunteering and so much more. She was big personality and there are not enough words to truly describe Teresa.
Teresa is survived by her children Michael (Lisa Carter) Grant of Sidney, and Cortney
Grant of Sidney; grandchildren, Ashlynn Collins, Chance Carter and Halle Carter. She is also
survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Teresa was preceded in death by her partner, Dennis Deal; her parents, Dorothy and
Gilmore Wills; siblings, Rodney Wills, Randy Wills, and Robert Wills.
