Paxton's Strong Inside Game Too Much for Leyton
Leyton's Zaili Benish has been the offensive leader for the Lady Warriors all season. She scored 31 points in Leyton's loss to Paxton on Friday.
DALTON-- On Friday, February 23, the Leyton Lady Warriors hosted the Paxton Tigers girls basketball team for the D2-6 District Final games, and a chance to return to the NSAA State Tournament. Leyton came into the matchup with a strong 21-and-3 record, seeded number 6. The Paxton girls had a 16-and-9 record, and were seeded number 11, and had lost to Leyton back on January 4 by 13 points. The stage was set for the Lady Warriors to punch their ticket for another State Tournament appearance, and a big and loud crowd was on hand to cheer them on.
