Nancy Jane McDonald

Nancy Jane Davis McMillen McDonald of Sidney, Nebraska passed peacefully the morning of March 26th, 2024 at the age of 86. Nancy lived a full life, filled with love. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Nancy was born February 24, 1938 in Sidney, Nebraska to William & Ruth Jane Davis. She attended Sidney High School. Following graduation she worked for the Bell Telephone Co.

Nancy and former spouse, Kenneth McMillen had three children, Burl, Doug, and Kathryn whom she adored.

While raising her children she had many part-time jobs including swim lesson teacher, attendance secretary at Sidney High, and catered alongside her sister-in-law, June (McMillen) Katen. As her children grew, she worked for the cable company, KSID and KIMB. She then moved to Loveland, CO and got remarried to Jim McDonald. There she worked for College Coupons and Johnson Marketing.

She enjoyed studying history and was involved in the historical society both in Sidney, NE and Loveland, CO. She was also a talented cook and loved to entertain and bless her guests with delicious homestyle meals.

Nancy is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren and 18 (soon to be 19) great grandchildren. Burl and Dana McMillen, Cori (Ali) Pirzadeh, Casey (Ryanna) McMillen, Bret (Tracy) McMillen; Doug and Cynthia McMillen, Sydney (Jacob) Latta, Quinten (Hannah) Burns; Kathryn James, Jennifer (Travis) Mowry, Jonathon James, Jessica (Matthew) Dolan. Daughter-in-law Jessica McDonald, grandson Daniel

In-law's June Katen, Dorothy McMillen, Paul (Carolyn) McMillen and several nieces and nephews.

Nancy joins in heaven her mother, Ruth Jane Dots; father, William H. Davis; the father of her children, Kenneth McMillen; husband, Jim McDonald; sister, Jean Miller; brother, John Davis; brother-in-laws, Ron McMillen and Dale Katen; son-in law, Jerry James; step-sons, Ken McDonald and Christian McDonald.
