Names are important in every relationship. Names define us; who we are, where we belong, even our status and prestige in society. It is no different with God. There are about 200 recorded Names of God in the Bible. Fourteen of them show up in Psalm 23, alone, so let us examine His Names. The “EL” names define His Person, such as Elohim (Creator), El Elyon (Most High God), El Roi (God Who sees me) and El Shaddai (God of all sufficiency). “YAH” is God’s redemptive Name.
