Post #17 goes 3-1 as host of local event

While it was Buckley that left Legion Field as the winner of the Sidney Seniors Tournament over the weekend in the round-robin affair, Sidney Post #17 fans had plenty to get excited about.
With only an 8-6 loss to Buckley in the tournament opener on Saturday morning to mar their otherwise perfect weekend, the seniors rebounded with three straight wins to finish as the runner-up. Sidney recovered from its tough first game to defeat Gordon 15-0 in three innings on Saturday night. On Sunday, Sidney toppled league rivals Gering, 4-3, and Hershland, 7-4.
