Hallett sentenced to 27 years in federal prison

 

Levi Hallett, 27, formerly of Sidney, was sentenced last week in the U.S. District Court-District of Nebraska.

He was sentenced to the Bureau of Prisons for a term of 27 years of imprisonment, followed by 15 years of supervised release with special conditions.

Last September, Hallett was charged in a three-count indictment by a federal grand jury. The charges included production, possession and receipt and distribution of child pornography. In May, Hallett's case was transferred to federal court.

He struck a plea deal with federal prosecutors. He pleaded guilty to production of child porn...
