Runners compete in Alliance

After competing at McCook just two days earlier, the Sidney Red Raiders cross country teams sent a less experienced squad to the Alliance Invite on Saturday to compete at Sky View Golf Course.

The Raiders' girls finished in sixth place with 104 points while the boys finished in 10th place.

The team winner in the boys' event was Mitchell with 21 points while Gering (28) and Scottsbluff (69) completed the top three.

Gering took top honors in the girls' competition with 23 points. Scottsbluff (33) was second and Chadron (55) third.
