Colton Peckham led the Red Raider boys.
Preslie Allen was the top Sidney girls' finisher in 17th.
After competing at McCook just two days earlier, the Sidney Red Raiders cross country teams sent a less experienced squad to the Alliance Invite on Saturday to compete at Sky View Golf Course.
The Raiders' girls finished in sixth place with 104 points while the boys finished in 10th place.
The team winner in the boys' event was Mitchell with 21 points while Gering (28) and Scottsbluff (69) completed the top three.
Gering took top honors in the girls' competition with 23 points. Scottsbluff (33) was second and Chadron (55) third.
Regular varsity runner Preslie Allen finished best among the Sidney girls runners with a 17th-place finish in the field of 49. Allen's time was 23:11
Colton Peckham was the first of the Raiders boys to finish. He completed the course in 20:33 for 39th place in the field of 66.
The Raiders will be back in action again on Thursday when they travel to Ogallala. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
