Three chosen all-district

Three local players were named to the D2-10 all-district football team, with two others given honorable mention.

Leyton senior Morley Haley, was among the Warrior offensive leaders with 878 yards, averaging 110 yard per game. Haley rushed for 419 yards over the season, and was a favorite receiver in Leyton’s passing game, gaining 459 yards with 27 receptions. He scored nine touchdowns

On defense, Haley was in on 42 tackles, with 13 solo stops. He also had two interceptions and one fumble recovery. Haley also contributed on special teams with 14 kickoffs, his longest for 50 yards.

Classmate Drew Brenner, the second all-district Warrior pick, was also a contributor remembered by opposing coaches. Brenner had 718 all-purpose yards for Leyton, 638 as a receiver and 80 more in punt and kickoff returns. Brenner scored eight touchdowns.

Brenner had 63 tackles, 22 of them solo. Brenner also intercepted three opponent passes.

Creek Valley’s Gage Koenen was also named to the team, his presence felt as opponents attempted to go through the middle of the Storm defense. The six-foot, 260 pound senior had 46 tackles, 17 of them solo, with three sacks.

Two other area players, Skylar Schumacher of Leyton, and Creek Valley’s Holden Colomban, were given honorable mention.
