Gladys Roberts, 97, of New Ulm, MN died Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her home at Ridgeway on German.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 6, at the Cambria Presbyterian Church in Cambria with Pastor Penny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cambria Cemetery.

Gladys is survived by her son, Thomas (Charlene) Roberts of rural New Ulm, MN; daughter, Lorie Jo (Edmund) Palmer of New Ulm, MN; grandchildren, Joseph (Sarah Hesse) Roberts, Nicole (David) Hennen, Aubrey (Luke) Lantz, Stephanie (Mark) Wardlaw, Tessa (Brandon) Matter; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Hornicek, Donna Hewitt, Virginia Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Roberts; her parents; infant son, Dana; sisters, Clara (Don) Miles, Viola (Joe) Zimola, Grace (Earl) Cruise; and brother, Loyal Hornicek all of Nebraska; in-laws Iva Roberts, John and Lois Roberts, Peter Roberts, and Glenn Hewitt.

Gladys Roberts was born May 5, 1920 in Logan County, Colorado, to Joseph and Rose (Seda) Hornicek. She was raised in Nebraska, where she graduated from Sunol High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to Wayne Roberts on October 13, 1946 in Sidney, Nebraska. After marriage they farmed in Cambria Township, MN.
