Bike accident in Sidney

Sidney emergency responders rendered aid to Legion Park Monday evening to assist a bicycle rider who went down in the flood control ditch. Unofficial reports were that the unidentified rider went down the slope on the south side of the ditch and hit rocks surrounding a drain tube. Sidney Police, Regional West Ambulance and Sidney Volunteer Fire Department responded. The rider, who may have suffered a spinal injury, was later taken to Denver by helicopter.
