Colin Lindquist - Obituary

Colin J. "Butch" Lindquist, gave us all the slip on Monday, May 28, 2018. He wanted to wait until all 3 of his favorite football teams, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Denver Broncos, and Boise State University, were champions on the same year but since that could NEVER happen he gracefully made his exit.

He was born on March 26th, 1944, in Kansas City, MO. That was the beginning of his life's journey. A greater part of that journey was spent in Sidney, Nebraska where he graduated from Sidney High School in 1962. During a stay at the local hospital, out of boredom, he went to check out the office help. Little did he know he would be meeting his future wife, Barbara, and marry 3 years later. She was the love of his life.

Besides Barbara, some of his other loves were music, camping, (especially with the Camper's Cocoa) hunting, fishing, and COCA-COLA!

Did we mention that he was quick-witted and exceptional storyteller? During his time in hospice care he would enlighten his nurses and caregivers with his shenanigans and was even known to propose to his masseuse. Since us earthly beings have heard most of his stories multiple times, he has now moved on to a grander and more captive audience.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara. He left her under the care and guidance of son, Robert Lindquist, daughter Rebecca Neveu (Arthur) and daughter Lori Charron (Michael), 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Colin is also survived by brother Don Adams (Becky) of Sidney, NE; and sister Nancy Kessler (John) of LaGrange, WY.

Following his wishes, no funeral services were held for Colin so in his honor please raise a glass of Coca-Cola and celebrate him and the full life he lived. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, 22 July 2018 in Grand View, ID.
