Daniel E. Walsh - Obituary

Daniel E. Walsh, 67, of Lincoln, NE, passed away last week in Lincoln. Dan was born in Sidney, NE to Everett and Mary (Kennedy) Walsh. Dan was raised on the family farm north of Lodgepole, NE. He graduated from Saint Patrick's High School in Sidney, NE, and University of Nebraska-Lincoln, College of Engineering and MBA program.

Dan married Michelle Mines in Lincoln, in 1979. He worked in construction engineering, real estate, and commercial banking. Dan was employed many years at National Bank of Commerce and other Lincoln banking institutions. Dan enjoyed family gatherings; UNL sports; the outdoors, especially golf, and trap shooting; and woodcarving.

He was preceded in death by parents, Everett and Mary Walsh, and mother-in-law, Juanita Mines. Survived by wife, Michelle Walsh of Lincoln; sister, Mary Jo Ortman of Sidney; brother, Richard Walsh, M.D. of Kansas City, MO; niece, Deborah (Bryan) Wright & daughters Kennedy and Korinne of Raymond, NE.
