Trash Rates Go Up Next Month

Bonds for Landfill Equipment Sold

Sidney City Manager Ed Sadler announced in the July 24 city council meeting that the finance bonds for the landfill have been sold.

The funds will be loaned to the City at 3.35 percent with cash available by the end of August.

In the July 10 Sidney Area Solid Waste Agency meeting, Sadler said he expected the bonds to be finalized at 3.37 percent. The Sidney Area Solid Waste Agency is borrowing up to about $1.5 million to purchase a new baler and a compactor. In May, Sadler met with the Cheyenne County Commissioners regarding the need to purchase new equipment at the landfill.
