Sidney junior Lani Kuhns didn't let losing a shoe stop her during the Western Conference Meet on Friday.
Sidney's Red Raider cross country team traveled on Friday to Gering to compete at the Western Conference Meet at 5 Rocks Amphitheater, and both the boy's and girl's squads took top honors at the end of the day, both edging out second place Gering.
On a challenging course made tougher due to wet conditions, the boy's squad placed six runners in the top 15, with senior captain Collin Brauer leading the way with a third place finish at 17:22. The girls placed four runners in the top 15, with freshman standout Lydia Peters leading the way with a time of 21:11.59 earning her fifth place overall....
