Elaine V. Schlueter - Obituary

Sidney resident Elaine V. Schlueter, 90, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Sidney Regional Extended Care, Sidney, NE.

Private family service will be held and burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. There will be no viewing or visitation. Private condolences may be sent to the family at http://www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

Elaine was born April 28, 1928, in McCook, NE to Arno V. & Katherine (Hock) Schlueter. She graduated from Culbertson High School in Culbertson, NE. Elaine worked as a secretary for Attorney Frank Morrison in McCook and later moved to California in 1952. In California, Elaine’s years were spent as a Purchasing Manager in the aeronautical industry.

Elaine loved to spend her time at church activities; choir and teaching Sunday School. She also enjoyed golfing, bowling, and fishing.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Deb Horn.

Survivors include her sister and spouse Janice and Latham Mortensen of Hastings, NE; niece and spouse De Ann and Pat Demo of Lee’s Summit, MO; nephew-in-law Rod Horn of Sidney, NE; great nieces, great nephews and spouses Austin and Sarah Horn, Katherine and Koby Huhman, Connor Demo, and Megan Demo.
