On March 6, 2019, officials from the Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office, Sidney Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, and the WING Drug Task force executed search warrants which led to the recovery of stolen property. James Hannaford and Cheyenne Nickel were subsequently arrested and booked into the Cheyenne County Jail on charges of Aiding and Abetting Burglary and Theft. Jenton Paben and Blayze Stichka were arrested and booked into the Cheyenne County Jail on charges of Burglary and Theft. Bond has been set at 10 percent of $50,000 in each case.

The arrests follow information posted to the Sidney Police Department's Facebook page and reports to the Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office, according to a press release from the Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office. Deputies have been investigating reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles in the Dalton and Gurley area since March 1. The incidents occurred between the nighttime hours of Feb. 28 and the morning hours of March 1.
