Petersen Commits to Chadron State

Sidney senior Dante Petersen will continue his cross country and track career with the Chadron State Eagles. Petersen signed a letter of intent for Chadron State on Wednesday at Sidney High School.

"I really like the team and the campus. I visited last month and was really impressed with the campus and the facilities," said Petersen.

Petersen was a member of State Champion Red Raider Cross Country team.

"I'm so proud of him. He's a great young man and I know he'll be a great asset to the Chadron program. I can't wait to see him compete at the next level," said Sidney coach Donna Wiedeburg.

Although Petersen considered Hastings College, he chose Chadron State and plans on majoring in Business and Information Systems. Although Petersen's athletic focus is on cross country, he is also considering competing on the Chadron Track & Field team.
