Lincoln – Temperatures in some parts of Nebraska are expected to spike later this week and into the weekend. In response, heat advisories and excessive heat watches are in effect in the state. Staying cool, keeping hydrated, and moderating outdoor activities during hot weather can help Nebraskans decrease the potential for heat-related illness according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
