Life-long habits are set during the first three years of a child’s life. The nutritious foods and services offered by the Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program lay the foundation in exposing young children to a variety of healthy foods, establishing ideal eating habits, and preventing childhood obesity. WIC provides healthy, science-based foods at no cost, breastfeeding support, referrals to other community resources, and nutrition information.
