Evelyn M. (Schwartz) Flessner

Evelyn M. (Schwartz) Flessner, 94, a long-time resident of Cheyenne County, passed away on August 5, 2020 in Baldwin City, KS.

Evelyn, the daughter of Karl Louis and Anna Fredricka Marie (Borges) Schwartz, grew up in a family of nine on their homestead in Weyerts Community, now known as Sullivan Hills Camp. She was an active member of Immanuel (Weyerts) Lutheran Church near Lodgepole, NE and in her later years of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney.

In 1948 she married Lavern H. Flessner. They raised their family on their farm northeast of Sidney. Her interests included cooking, quilti...
