Hope and Sidney Sherfey were married Dec 17, 1946 and raised their four children in Sidney NE where Hope worked for many years in the school district, first as a cashier in the cafeteria and then retired after 14 years as a teacher’s assistant at Special Education Unit #14. After retirement she enjoyed 18 years in Mesa AZ where she loved to dance, play pool, play cards and travel before moving to Sterling in 2007. She enjoyed making new friends and playing cards in Sterling. Hope loved her family unconditionally and her quiet support was always present.
