Donna 'Donnie' Louise Sutton Mitchell

Donna (Donnie) Louise Sutton Mitchell, 64, of Sterling, CO. passed away Tuesday March 2, 2021. A celebration of Donnie’s life will be held at Sidney First United Methodist Church, 2622 11th. Ave., Sidney, NE on Tuesday, March 16 at 11 AM. Following a fellowship meal at the church, those who wish may proceed to Courthouse/Jail Rock near Bridgeport, NE for a time of prayer and singing.

Donna (Donnie) Louise Sutton Mitchell was born September 1, 1956 in Denver, Colorado to Wilburn Leon and Thelma Louise Sutton and was born into eternity on March 2, 2021 after a protracted illness. She married Marshall Mitchell and together had two sons, Robert Aaron Mitchell and Jacob Leroy Mitchell. Donnie was a doting grandmother to Fate Marie Mitchell and Maia Lyn Casias and great grandchildren, Bentley Michael Workman and Aubree Rose Gillespie.

Although Donnie suffered a number of debilitating illnesses, she maintained a strong, positive spirit. She enjoyed crafts and, most of all, spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donnie was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Rickey Sutton. She is survived by her brother Randy Sutton and wife, Rita; and sister, Sandi Johnson and husband, Mark; sons, Robert and Jacob, grandchildren, Fate Marie Mitchell and Maia Lyn Casias, great grandchildren, Bentley Michael Workman and Aubree Rose Gillespie and numerous nieces and nephews.
