Sidney Shooting Park Holds Pistol Competition

Perfect weather Sunday morning was on tap for the SSP Outlaw Pistol Match at the Sidney Shooting Park. 31 competitors took their places at the range for a day of sharp shooting friendly competition.

Thomas Mitchell placed first with a 100% mark, scoring 603.6583 points with a time of 82.61. He was followed by Justin Candy with a 66.96% mark, scoring 404.2350 points with a time of 66.82. Justin Christensen placed third with a 66.80% mark, scoring 403.2414 points with a time of 66.65.

Shooters from all over the region came to Sidney, as the Shooting Park has a reputation for being one of the best in the area.

Organizer Thomas Mitchell said, "It was a great event. It was our biggest match with 31 participants that we have had since we started these competitions three years ago.
