It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing on Monday, January 22, 2024 of Leslie J. (Henkle) Sams, age 60 of Douglas, WY and formerly Sidney, NE.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney, NE. Cremation has been held. A luncheon will follow at the Gehrig-Stitt Event Center, 1212 10th Avenue, Sidney, NE.

Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday to sign Leslie's book.

Leslie was born on September 4, 1963. Leslie was loved by all her family. She loved being with family. Leslie worked as a CNA and was the happiest when she was caring for the elderly or helping family in their time of need.

Leslie's memory will forever be cherished by her mother, siblings, children, grandchildren and the countless lives she touched. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.

Leslie's soul is rejoicing with our heavenly father and she is at peace.

Leslie is survived by her mother, Shirley J. Henkle, sons, Casey Hagen, Cameron Hagen, Cory Hagen and wife Karen, sisters Tamera Peters and husband Ken, Connie Wagner and husband Bill, brother, Tim Henkle and wife Virginia, 11 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Max M. Henkle and brother Landal M. Henkle.
